STRATEGY DIRECTOR & CO-FOUNDER
Martin grew up in Edenvale, a town on the outskirts of Johannesburg. After matriculating he ventured past the N3 and began his advertising career by spending three years at the Vega School of Brand Leadership, graduating in 2002. For the many years before Workbench, he worked as an Art Director and Creative Director at some of South Africa's leading agencies - picking up a few shiny prizes on the way at local and international awards shows. In 2012 the entrepreneurial bug bit hard, starting him off on this wild journey. He now heads up Workbench's strategy and planning, but still finds time to pick up a stylus and get into the thick of the art. When not working he spends his time making play-dough pizzas with his wife, wasting his bandwidth on video games, doodling, playing in a band dressed as a nun and looking at the moon with his daughter.
